Jessica Heidt's Piano Studio

     Jessica holds a bachelors degree in Piano Performance from Northern Arizona University. She has a deep love for music and a passion for teaching. As a dedicated instructor, Jessica encourages her students’ love for music and provides them with the knowledge, tools, and motivation necessary for musical growth and discovery. Her goal is to spread the joy of music to students of all ages, levels, and backgrounds by providing an encouraging environment and pushing them towards challenging yet attainable goals.

     Mrs. Heidt has been playing the piano for twenty-one years. She was a Prize Piano competition winner in high school and recieved the Piano Accompanying Scholarship at NAU where she studied under Dr. Frank Scott, Dr. Janice ChenJu Chiang, Dr. Bruce Reiprich and Miss Rita Borden. Her collegiate studies included solo repertoire, accompanying, chamber music, theory, ear training, music history, composition, arranging, piano literature and pedagogy. Jessica enjoys growing as a musician herself while fostering musical growth in her own students. She is an active arranger and composer and her Fantasy for Orchestra was recently performed by the Chandler Symphony Orchestra. 

     Jessica appreciates the need for variety in musical education, and understands the importance of adapting lessons to each individual student in order to best meet their needs and interests. She is a big advocate for the Arizona Study Program and other extra curricular performance opportunities that challenge and push her students. Jessica produces a balanced atmosphere full of fun and games, as well as hard work and high expectations. Nothing brings her more joy than increasing her students’ love for piano and seeing them progress towards excellence in their own musical journey.
